We're proud to share that Structured AI cofounders Isabel Greenslade, Brandon Smith, and Raymond Zhao have been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2026 list in the AI category. This recognition highlights the work we're doing to bring production-ready AI to the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.

Building AI That Understands Engineering

Structured AI was founded by three University of Oxford graduates who saw firsthand how much engineering time was being lost to manual, repetitive work. Design engineers spend up to a third of their hours reviewing drawings, cross-checking specifications, and validating code compliance by hand. In an industry facing a deepening talent shortage, that time is too valuable to waste.

Our AI agents review MEP, civil, structural, and architectural drawings in minutes, catching coordination errors, missing annotations, and code compliance issues that manual review misses. Every flagged issue comes with an exact location on the drawing and a recommended fix, so engineers can act immediately rather than hunting through hundreds of sheets.

From Oxford to Y Combinator

Since graduating from the University of Oxford, the team has built Structured AI into a company backed by Y Combinator, FCVC, 20VC, Cherry Ventures, Zero Prime Ventures, and Sequoia Scout, raising a $4.2M Seed round closed in five days. Our CTO spent six years building production AI for engineering firms before becoming AI lead at Syska Hennessy Group, one of the country's top MEP consultancies. That deep domain expertise is what makes our agents work in production, not just in demos.

Structured AI is now deployed across multi-disciplinary engineering firms spanning MEP, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines. In one pilot, our platform identified more than 400 issues in a 1,000-page drawing set that was headed to site.

What This Means

The Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition is a signal that AI for construction is no longer a niche bet. The global construction market exceeds $10 trillion annually, yet productivity has remained flat for decades. Tools that automate construction document review and engineering drawing QA/QC address a problem that every engineering firm experiences on every project.

We're grateful for the recognition and focused on what matters most: helping engineering firms deliver better projects, faster, with fewer errors reaching the field.
