Senior Software Architect

Full-time New York, US $170k–$280k + 1% equity YC-backed

The Role

You will own the architecture of the Structured AI platform. That means maintaining what runs today, and, more importantly, making it considerably more scalable as we bring on new enterprise customers at a rapid pace.

Every new firm brings thousands more drawings, more concurrent reviews, more GPU work and more integrations. The systems that carried us to this point need to carry us ten times further. You will decide how, then build it with the team.

What You'll Do

• Own the platform architecture end-to-end: services, data, queues, storage and compute
• Re-architect document processing and CV pipelines so throughput scales with customers, not headcount
• Design for multi-tenant isolation, reliability and cost as usage grows by orders of magnitude
• Set standards for observability, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and incident response
• Review and mentor across the engineering team, and unblock the hard technical calls
• Partner with the founders on technical roadmap, security reviews and enterprise requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years building and running production systems, with real ownership of architecture
• Strong cloud background on AWS, Azure, GCP or similar: compute, networking, storage, IAM
• Experience scaling a system through rapid customer growth and living with the consequences
• Deep comfort with Python and TypeScript, Postgres, distributed queues and containerised workloads
• Clear technical writing: you can explain a design, and its trade-offs, to engineers and customers
• Bonus: GPU workloads, large-scale document or image processing, SOC 2 environments
