ENR reports on Structured AI's $4.2m fundraise and partnership with Syska Hennessy

Microsoft Word

The specification, read clause by clause against the drawings.

A specification is part of the contract documents, and a drawing that contradicts it is a defect. Structured AI reads your Word specifications and consultant reports as part of the set, so those contradictions get found before the package is issued.

Key capabilities

Built for the way AEC teams actually use Word

Once connected, the review runs against your Word content directly: no export, no duplicate library, and every finding traceable to where it came from.

Read clause by clause

The specification is read as a structured document, so a finding can point at the clause the drawing disagrees with rather than at the document as a whole.

Checked against the drawings

A performance requirement in the spec and a product shown on a plan are compared directly: the check nobody has time to do by hand across 300 pages.

Built for AEC documents

The agent reads a drawing the way a reviewer does: title blocks, schedules, callouts, revision clouds and spec references, not just the text layer.

Zero data migration

Your documents stay exactly where they are. Structured AI reads them in place, so there is no second copy of record drifting out of date behind the live one.

Nobody reads the whole spec. Everybody is contractually bound by it.

About Word

Specifications are long, they are inherited from the last project as often as they are written fresh, and they are almost never read end to end against the drawings they accompany. That is how a set ends up specifying one thing in Section 08 and drawing another on a facade sheet.

Reading the specification as part of the set makes that comparison mechanical. The clause and the drawing get checked against each other, and where they disagree the finding names both.

Common questions about the Word integration

No. Structured AI reads the documents as they are written. A well-sectioned master spec and a lightly edited inherited one both work: sectioning helps the citation be precise, but it is not a prerequisite.

See it run against your own Word.

Bring a live project and we’ll run the review on your stack, not a sample set.
